So today, I was just browsing through a list of artist and clicked on a random artist name.
Canopy Climbers.
I clicked on the first track and it was an instrumental version of the song Far and immediately, I was drawn to the beat of their music.
Then I clicked next to listen to the full version track with the vocals and his voice fits perfectly to the song.
You know how you were already heading to do something and end up going off-course to find yourself doing something else instead? I originally came here to share another band but I came across something BIGGER.
Burberry Acoustic has a really interesting line up of bands, all from Britain. As you can tell from the name itself, it's all acoustic. This is where fashion meets music. I didn't think that I'd enjoy listening to British music this much. I guess they had me when they harmonize or break out into a strong acapella halfway through.
I love that some of bands used instruments other than the acoustic guitar. You'll see glockenspiel, kalimba, saxophone, violin, shakers, cajon, tambourine, and hear birds in the background. Too cool to make music outdoors.
I know this is quite a lot of videos compared to the norm, but it's worth listening. Especially on a dreamy day of relaxation to be filled with acoustic goodness.
Head towards youtube to listen to more bands. You know you want to.
I'm probably the laziest poster of music on this blog even though I discover new tunes that I absolutely love almost daily. Just so you know, music for me is usually more about the tune itself and very little about the lyrics and even less about the visuals. So instead of writing some amazing history or give you a verbal telling of why I love what I love, I won't (at least not most of the time) and from today onwards, I will just give you my Song Of The Day. Woooo happy days!
My song of the day:
Band: Luminaires
Song: Walk Away
Genre: Indie-Electro Pop with a hint of Dub (yes, dubstep!)
